Residential repair and carpentry across the Upstate. Seven kinds of work, none of them too small to book, and the owner is the one who does them.
Mission Ready Repairs exists because people couldn't get a call back about one hole in a wall, one door that won't latch, or one fan that needs hanging. Clay Bucy is a U.S. Air Force veteran and third-generation master carpenter, and he's the man who turns up at your house, not a crew he sent instead. The business is insured and covers Greenville County and Spartanburg County.
What we take on
Pick the job closest to yours. Each page lists what's included and what we hand off to somebody else.

Drywall Repair
We cut the damage back to sound board and feather the mud until the patch disappears.

Door & Window Repair & Installation
We shim the jamb plumb, reset hinges, and replace windows where necessary. Interior or exterior, we get the gap even top to bottom.

Ceiling Fans & Fixtures
We hang fans and fixtures on a box rated to carry the weight, so nothing wobbles.

TV & Shelf Mounting
We find the framing first, then pick hardware rated for the weight you're hanging.

Deck Repair & Rebuilds
We get under the deck first, because the ledger and the hangers fail before the boards do.

Punch List & Closing Repairs
We read the whole list first, say which items are ours, then work down it in order.

Small Plumbing Repairs
Everything inside the cabinet under the sink. Nothing inside a wall or a slab.

Flooring Repair & Installation
Repair or replace floors, subfloors, floor joists, and hardwood. We find the damage first and build the fix from there.

Finish Carpentry & Trimwork
Baseboard, chair rail, crown molding, casing, and finish carpentry work. We cut and fit trim to match what's already there.

Kitchen & Bath Remodeling
Kitchen and bathroom remodeling and repair work, from cabinetry to finish carpentry. We handle the carpenter's parts of the job.

Four steps, no runaround

You tell us what is wrong
Call or text (864) 529-9975, or write it out through the contact form. Photos help more than paragraphs. A picture of the wall, the door, the deck framing, or the leak usually tells us most of what we need.

We tell you whether it's ours
If the job belongs to a licensed trade, or it sits in one of the lanes below that we stay out of, you'll hear that before anyone drives anywhere. A wasted visit helps nobody.

We find the cause, not the symptom
A crack that keeps coming back has a reason. So does a door that sticks every July and a cabinet that never quite dries out. We tell you what the reason is, because you should know whether to expect it again.

We finish it and clean up
We vacuum up after ourselves and leave the room the way we found it, minus the problem. On a list, each item gets photographed as it closes, so you have a record without walking the house behind us.

Who we work for
Homeowners
One item or a whole list. Drywall repair, door repair and hanging, ceiling fans and fixtures, TV and shelf mounting, deck repair and rebuilds, and small plumbing repairs are all bookable on their own. Group a few together and one visit covers the lot.
Realtors and property managers
Inspection addenda, closing lists, and turns between tenants all run against a date. The scope gets settled up front and finished items come back to you as photographs. Start with closing punch lists and turn checklists.

What people ask before they call
Will you come out for one small job?
Yes. One hole in a wall, one door that won't latch, one fan that needs hanging: those are normal bookings here, not favors. They're also the calls most outfits won't return, which is why Clay went and built a business out of taking them. If you have a few other odds and ends, list them when you call and we'll try to cover the lot in one visit.
What won't you take on?
No tile of any kind, no HVAC, no large electrical or large plumbing, and no driveways or slabs. The line also runs through work we do take. A fan on an existing box yes, a new circuit no. A trap under the sink yes, a re-pipe no. Ask on the first call and we'll point you to someone good for whatever falls outside.
Can you handle several different repairs in one visit?
That's the way to use us. Drywall, doors, fixtures, mounting, deck boards, and under-sink plumbing are all in one pair of hands, so a mixed list doesn't need three trades and three trips.
